"Beauty without expression is boring."
-Ralph Waldo Emerson
Okay, I know you guys are getting bored with me constantly shooting back at the MD crew so I figured, today, I would give you all a glimpse of what lies ahead on RxMuscle.com.
If you look around at some of the competition you might get the idea that certain magazine moguls don't like women - women who compete, in particular. Dave and I on the other hand love women. While each of us loves one of our own, that doesn't mean we shut out the rest of the hard working, hard-bodied, beautiful women in our community. It also doesn't mean we're going to orchestrate a free-for-all. What it does mean is that Dave and I want to give The Women a voice; a place to meet, a community, and lots and lots of exposure. For all you competitive women out there, RxMuscle wants to be your big brother. Trust us; in our care, nothing bad could possibly happen to you.
One of the first things we have planned to get the women's movement moving is a new radio show. . . "by women, for women, about women". It's called Muscle Girls Inc. It stars Colette Nelson and Krissy Chin and it'll air every Tuesday night at 8pm EST (with on-demand podcasts available after that).
Muscle Girls Inc. is designed to discuss women's issues in bodybuilding, fitness, figure and bikini. Political issues, contest results, and controversies. . . training, diet, nutrition, contest prep, posing, tanning, and whatever else it takes to get you to the stage, Colette and Krissy will have it covered.
Other important women's features are already in place like a women's forum, photo galleries that will start filling up with a variety of photo shoots from the upcoming Arnold weekend and beyond, and soon-to-be-published weekly star profiles.
Dave and I believe the women of our sport have been left out in the cold for long enough. Our commitment to them will not waver because the women physique athletes make up a very large contingent of our community and, currently, no one is serving them. RX Muscle has a place for all the women of our industry; and then some. We believe in the women and their cause and we intend on showcasing them in every way possible. After all, we love women!
