Natural Weight Loss Transformation : The Diane Paragona Story
Since I was kid, I have always had weight problems. I have tried every fad diet out there from Atkins, Slim Fast, Weight Watchers, etc. and they all helped but I always found myself gaining the weight right back. I resorted to starving myself, binged, and purged for a few months because I was so stressed about putting the weight back on.
Over a year ago, I was in the best shape of my life and one day I did not feel good so I decided to skip the gym. This ended up stretching into weeks and months and I starting eating more and really enjoyed all the food I was missing and within 8 months had put on 45 pounds.
The New Year finally came around and I told myself now is the time to get back into shape. I started back at the gym slowly working back up to 100%. At that point, I consulted the gym on getting a trainer and was signed up right away. He got me on a program, I trained with him once a week, and the weight started coming off again until I was down over 25 pounds and 26 inches. I felt on top of the world.
I got to a point where the weight was not coming off and I was hitting a plateau and needed to do something to mix it up. Around the holidays, my trainer mentioned a product called Isagenix and that his sister has been trying to get him to try for months. The next week I signed up as an Associate and ordered the 30-Day system. I started right after the holidays and within a week, I had lost 9.5 pounds and 5 inches. I noticed I had a lot more energy, sleeping better and my focus was amazing. No other product I have been on has made me felt so good. At this point, I need something to keep me focused and on track until I heard about the IsaBody Challenge and decided to enter. I found my workouts have never been better at the gym and I was more focused and determined to win this challenge.
It was the middle of May 2012 and I wasn’t really happy with my current coach so I decided to quit and the search was on for a new coach to help me train for my first ever figure competition. I wanted somebody knowledgeable, caring and honest who could get me in the best shape of my life. It was June 7 and I knew that my girlfriend was training with Shannon Petrilito and decided to ask my girlfriend for her number. I had met her at Cathy Savage Studio during Camp on 2/25 and she was so nice. I contacted her on June 9 and we talked for over an hour and I knew right then and there I wanted her as my coach. The most kind, caring and honest person I have met. You could really tell by talking to her she was a genuine as they come and so passionate about her work. We talked about goals and competing and I signed up with her and off we went. At this point, I weighed in at 150 and wanted to take off fat and put on lean muscle.
She really took her time with my nutrition plan as she wanted it tailored specifically for me. While she was setting that up I officially became part of Shannon Petrilito Fitness on June 15, 2012 which was the happiest day of my life. I continued with my current nutrition and started my new nutriton and workout plan on June 26.
Shannon set me up with a nutrition plan of 6 meals a day all made up of lean proteins, organic veggies and fruit and whole grains. It was very easy to follow and I didn’t feel hungry at all. I also started my workout plan on that Monday and I loved the workouts.
I have learned so much from Shannon already and and it just keeps getting better. I truly wake up with a smile on my face everyday knowing I have her as my coach. The plan she has me on I am watching my body change so much and it truly brings a smile to my face. It is absolutely amazing just a few tweaks here and there makes such a difference in your plan.
It is now the middle of October and I am down to 126.5 pounds since I started and couldn’t be happier. I was 193 and as of today have lost 66.5 pounds and went from a size 16 to a 2.
I feel the healthiest I have ever felt in my life. I truly can’t thank Shannon enough for taking me under her wing and I will never forget it. This has been the best experience of my life and the best is yet to come. I have already decided I want to go pro and continue to compete. Besides competing I am really considering paying it forward and becoming a Life Coach. I really enjoy helping people inspiring and motivating them to be the best they can to be happy and healthy. I also belong to a support group on Facebook and love to inspiring and motivate people to be healthy. I also have a few friends who use me as accountability when they have a tough day and I try and help them stay strong. Nothing give me more pleasure than helping people on their weight loss journey and I have learned so much from doing it myself.
