SinorSlim Recipe of the Week: Banana Protein Pancakes
This high-protein pancakes recipe is great for both pre and post-workout replenishment. I like to keep a stack in the fridge ready to nuke and consume after training!
Ingredients:
-1/2 cup egg whites
-1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
-1/2 cup gluten-free oats
-1/2 tablespoon of cinnamon
-1 scoop of banana protein powder (whey or casein will work)
Extras (optional):
- 2 teaspoons agave nectar
- 3oz sliced banana
- 1/4 c crushed walnuts
Directions:
1. Begin by adding egg whites, milk, and cinnamon to your blender and start blending on the lowest setting.
2. Add the oats and turn the dial up to medium-high on the blender and add the protein powder
***At this point, your batch should look like a standard batch of pancake batter***
3. Set your stove to medium-low.
4.Pre-heat a small/medium frying pan for 1-2 minutes and spray with non-stick cooking spray
5. Pour out approximately 1/3 cup of the mix into the frying pan.
6.Allow the pancake to sit for about 1 minute before flipping.
7.Let the other side cook for another minute before removing from frying pan.
8.Repeat steps 1-6 until batch is finished.
