Candice Keene Charges Her Way To The Olympia Stage!
Hi Everyone!!
This week seemed to end just as quickly as it began! Last weekend I competed in my last show before the Olympia, which was the Phoenix Pro. I came out the winner!!! :D I wanted to do this show because Phoenix is my hometown and I wanted to give my family and friends a chance to see me compete, since they will not be attending the Olympia. To be announced #1 in front of them and in my hometown was such an amazing feeling!! Going into the show I had a good feeling, because of the mental calmness I felt and because I felt 100% on point physically. I arrived a few days early and stayed at my brother’s and met my niece, who is absolutely adorable!! I also stayed a few days after the show to spend time with family and friends.
I left AZ Monday on a redeye flight and arrived into FL 10am Tuesday. I ended up sleeping all of Tuesday and into Wednesday!! Sheez! Talk about losing a day! So I allowed myself to do so…before the craziness over the course of the next 3 ½ weeks starts up again. Craziness as in busy busy busy!! School started last week, but because I was focusing on the Phoenix show, my plan was to catch up this week. I looked into all my classes (online, which is good)..and WHOA!! I sure have a lot of catching up to do!! Lol That is okay though. I work better under pressure :P When I have a lot to do, I try not to get overwhelmed. First, I lay everything out and construct a mini outline. Then, I knock each task out one by one. This keeps me focused…and SANE! Lol
Staying organized is the key to success! Depending on how you approach it, it can be hard at first. The key is to find “your own way” of organization, and then it gets easy. And as you see your checklist with more tasks crossed off than not, it is quite fulfilling J I, myself, like a bit of a challenge in life. Challenging yourself by setting goals allows you to look for unusual ways to accomplish your goals. Have personal challenge towards goals bring out that passion, excitement and enthusiasm for within and you stand a better chance of reaching the highest levels possible. It also builds character!
A few good rules to live by:
~Don’t second guess yourself; BELIEVE in yourself
~Don’t ever doubt yourself or your abilities
~Always set high standards and strive for the best
Use this form of personal development at its finest! :)
We all do it (doubt ourselves at times), but we just have to remember what we know we are capable of doing; and always keep that confidence:) xoxoxo
Until next time!!
