Lexi Kaufman's Journey To Her Pro Debut....The Arnold-Journal 1
Hello, My name is Lexi Kaufman and I am a 20-year-old Bikini competitor. I have now been competing for a little over a year and was fortunate enough to earn my Pro Card at the NPC North Americans in Cleveland, Ohio in September of this year. I have been blessed to go pro within one year of beginning my career. This past year has been such a whirlwind with all the traveling and competitions. I have met so many people and have became a fan of so many competitors as well.
I have recently been invited to compete in the Arnold Classic Miss Bikini International. This will be my professional debut. I cannot even begin to tell you how much this competition means to me. I was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio and for as long as I can remember, I have been involved in competing in the Arnold in one way or another, from gymnastics, cheerleading and now in the fitness arena of the bikini division. If you know anyone from Columbus, they will tell you the Arnold Classic is a very big deal in our town. To step foot on a stage as a Pro in front of my hometown at the Arnold is a dream come true. There could not be a more fitting place for my professional career to begin. I am so excited. As a matter of fact, when the list came out, I started texting and facebooking everyone I know to tell them the amazing news. I could not believe that my name was on the list with these amazing women I have come to idolize and hope to be like, Sonia Gonzales, Nathalia Melo, Jessica Paxton, etc. My first thought was... I need to remember to get autographs :)
Then it happened...one of my friends said aren't you nervous? OH NO!!! These are the people I will be competing against. Don't get me wrong, I am honored to be able to stand on a stage with the likes of these ladies, but I have to be ready to compete against them. So I am hitting the gym hard and my trainers are in competition body mode, which means lots of work for me. I am hoping to do my best at the Arnold Classic so I am focused and getting show ready. Wish me luck, I have a tough road ahead of me, this is the big leagues in this industry, the Pro Stage... and I am up for the challenge.
