Kickin It With Karina: California Yes!!
I love California! This past weekend I compete
d at the 2012 Grand Prix. I had an amazing time.I got there on Thursday. Okay..... it was really cool... first of all I was dressed for spring having just left Boca Raton, Florida. Thank God for my SPECIES track suit which came to the rescue. My husband and my seven year old daughter went with me. She had a blast handing out trophys to the bikini girls and taking pictures with the winner Sarah and show promoter Jon Lindsey.Friday I just rested and ate for the next day.When I went to get some ice and I heard a door open and out came Sarah. I was surprised and we gave each other a big hug. I love Sarah cause she is always smiling. Saturday pre judging was a little crazy. Girls were still tanning and the show need to start.I was feeling good and it didnt bother me at all. The fact that there were 16 gorgeous ladies made me really excited and I knew it was going to be an awesome show. I knew it was going to be a special day in my life and I wanted to enjoy it.
Pre judging did not go as I expected and I was a little dissapointed, but who isn't when you work so hard for something. All the girls were great and I was so proud of them all. I quickly excepted my placing and came back that night and gave a flawless routine. I know that I need to improve in some areas and I am working on this now in preparation for the New York Pro . It was so good to see Steve Winnerstrom! He looked the same as 10 years ago. I had my make up done by Hope Zorro. She's amazing and I felt very lucky to have the chance to work with her. Cea Anna , Stacy Simmon, Carrie Ann, Sarah Hurrle, Patricia Mello, (shes another Brazilian), Sabrina Taylor and Michelle Ray were all super sweet and their were hot bikini bombshells everywhere you looked. There were fitness, figure, bodybuilder men and women all around. It was definately the place to be on Saturday April 4th.The IFBB PRO GRAND PRIX 2012 was incredible. I want to take a moment to thank everyone who supports my family and I. Lonestar Distribution, Labrada, Species and all my fans.
