Canuck Corner-Installment #7
Hi Everyone!
Spring is here and so is competition season -- love it! Just in time for crocuses, outdoor workouts, and patio lunches, my time spent training is ramped to 100%, and combined with full time work and attempting to have a home life, I am one busy girl!
This past weekend I competed at the Europa Show of Champions in Orlando, Florida, and had an absolutely amazing time! I received some of the best reviews of my pro Figure career, from industry insiders such as RX Muscle's Dave Palumbo " Super ripped, fantastic abs. Tiny waist. The best she's ever looked. Should be up there in top group.", as well as Aaron Singerman, " Natalie Waples was last out, and she is easily the best she has ever been. Tad The Diet Coach did his job with her. I think she will Definitely be top 5 ". Thank you so much!
Over the winter my coach Tad Inoue and I worked in tandem with my on site trainer Adrian Veinot, to bring me in tighter, and more streamlined than ever before. Heavy on the mid back and rear delt training, while conditioning my lower body, I was really proud of the physique I presented, bringing home a 7th place finish!
In addition to having a great time on stage, several of my Canuck Pro buddies (Aleisha Hart, Kim Tilden and Cea Anna Kerr - attached photo is Aleisha, Kim and I backstage) were competing as well, so we had an absolute blast spending some quality time together. We are all also competing at the upcoming Toronto Pro Super Show June 1-3, and with Ontario being my home province, I couldn't be more excited!
So next up for me is the May 26, IFBB California Pro Figure put on my Jon Lindsay, and I am so stoked! Last year I took home a 3rd place finish at this show, along with an Olympia qualification, so in 2012 I am hoping to outdo my placing from last year! :-) Not too tall of an order eh?! My girl Candice Keene hooked me up with a contact for some new shoes (I'm adding a bit of a platform which allows me to flex my legs a little more easily), and my new Tamee Marie suit is ready to shine! Look out LA!!
Here is a typical 'day in the life' for me right now:
515am: Up to walk my dogs and get to the gym for workout #1
6-730am: Cardio and abs, or posing
830-430: Work is jam packed with meetings, advising on Labour Relations issues, and managing the activities of my team
5-615pm: Cardio #2 and weights
615-730pm: Dog walk #2, make dinner, prepare my food for the next day
730-930pm: Relax, return emails, update Twitter and Facebook
930pm: Bedtime!
My days are jam packed but I love it! I've never been one to sit around and twiddle my thumbs, so this lifestyle suits me just fine :-) The nest 3 weeks are going to be fairly hectic, but I am excited to do two shows back to back and then spend some time soaking up the summer sun.
I hope you have an absolutely fabulous week and accomplish all your fitness goals. Just remember, when you aren't working hard in the gym, somebody out there is! Eat, Sleep, Train, Repeat!
Yours in Health,
Natalie
