Tiffany Robinson IFBB Fitness Pro: Journal #4: Lunch Box
This past weekend I was in a dear friend’s wedding and we all know that when you are a part of the bridal party the events last all weekend long! So before I made the drive to my home town Opelika, Alabama, I made sure my food was prepped to last me throughout the weekend!
My mother was gracious enough to send me a text message asking what all she could buy for me from the super market and that was super exciting! So when I got in to town she had more items prepped for me: tilapia, chicken, egg whites, plain oats, asparagus, and of course coffee! I had plenty of sweet potatoes so she didn’t have to purchase any of those!!
So as for the weekend, I drove home dancing and singing like a fool and eating my food as it was time to. I changed in to my rehearsal dress and made my way to the church… lunch box and all. Of course everyone starred when I walked in and all my girlfriends just shook their heads because they all know what my days and diets consist of. They respect me for it. I even had an extra meal stashed away in case the rehearsal dinner ran long with speeches and toasts!
Saturday morning us girls had a date with the hair salon!! Oh how I was excited! Anyone that wants to deal with this head of curls is my new best friend! I sat on the floor and ate my meals as needed because we were there for nearly 4 hours lol!
Then it was back to the church! Everyone had their make up piled on the counter in the dressing room and there sat the trusted lunch box! Hahaha.... and my make up! Trust me I LOVE MAKE UP!!!I even had an extra rice cake for 30 minutes prior to my performance of walking down the isle with my selected groomsman! I had to perform well and look my best for my dear friend so I was prepared to have plenty of energy! LOL
I was crunched for time to fit in all my cardio early that morning so I made sure I danced the night away at the reception! Once Sunday rolled around and I reflected on my weekend I realized I touched several people from being at the dinner to the salon to the wedding by having my handy dandy lunch box and explaining to others how disciplined I am and that a healthy diet contributes to a healthy figure and long lasting life. If it weren’t for the lunch box some of those conversations may not have happened and those people may not have been touched… and of course I wouldn’t have gotten the nutrients I needed without my prepped food!
Don’t ever be ashamed of your lunch box!! Carry it everywhere! Make it your best friend!! It will work wonders for you I promise!!
Until next time!!
