WoooooHooooo!!! Yes this week was that good! My husband surprised me when we went to Las Vegas on a trip to Area 51 and the Black mailbox. It was an alien tour that hit all of the Hot Spots. It was fun to watch everyone geek-out all X-Files style. You all remember The X-Files, Right? You know the show with the theme song Doo..Doo..Doo..DOO..Doo? And who can forget all of the sayings “The TRUTH is out there”, “I want to believe”, “Trust no one”. Haha, you know all of that stuff. It was a blast and our tour guide was a Hoot! He kept talking about falconry. Lol, WOW. I now know waaaayyyy too much about birds of prey. Haha
On top of the tour my husband also wanted to go to Midway in the Circus Circus Hotel and play all of the carnival games. I was a little leery to go to that part of Vegas, just because I never really go to that hotel, but it was SO FUN!!! We played all of the games!! :D I haven’t played those games in sooooooo long. We had so many prizes. I even won the ring toss. I was so SURPRISED!! I thought that game was a scam. Haha I guess not. The lady running the game, just gave me a dirty look and asked me what stuffed animal I wanted. Of course I had to pick the 8 footrasta-banana. Haha it was so odd. Who thinks to make a stuffed animal a banana and then deck him out all Jamaican-style????
The best part about that day was that at the end of our game playing we give all of our prizes and winnings to a bunch of random kids. I’m pretty sure we made their day. It’s always so nice to make someone happy. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
Speaking of feeling all warm and fuzzy, the gym at The Hotel that is right across from Mandalay is AWESOME! I have found a cardio machine that I absolutely LOVE. It is the Precore AMT 835 (Adaptive Motion Trainer). It is great! You can use it like a stair climber as it simulates stairs if you turn up the resistance or you can just run on it …..and I mean RUN! It will not move unless YOU push back the peddles hard with your legs. It gives a great workout and allows you to use your full-natural stride. P.S. If you contract your glutes and use them to push, you can really feel it the next morning :).
