Why NPC: I compete in the NPC because I like competing on a level playing field. I can make my journey the one I decide, just as every other competitor has the opportunity to make their journey their own. I have prepped many people for the INBF shows and have found the discrepancy among athletes extremely frustrating.
What do you like best about competing? I love the personal challenge of competing. The feeling of literally competing against myself on an everyday basis and the mental fortitude that comes with the journey is unparalleled. There is nothing that can match the absolute perseverance that comes from pressing on towards a goal against all odds. The road to a show is one that exposes a person's true character. It reveals the deepest recesses of our being and pushes us out of our comfort zone to areas where we are forced to grow into who we will become. This part of the training is my favorite. I love knowing I will not be the same person I was when I began this journey as I am when I walk off the stage.

Words to live by: We are created for fellowship. Our very existence on this planet is to lift up one another in selfless acts of love and kindness. We all have the opportunity and choice on an everyday basis to be a blessing or a hindrance to those who come onto the path on which we walk. We choose our paths in life based off our internal drive and desires. As vessels, our outer being is simply a reflection of our inner desires. Which direction we choose to follow, whether blessing or hindrance, forms the path and the usefulness of the outer vessel. As we grow externally, it is impossible not to change internally. We all in this sport have a gift to bless others with the knowledge and expertise we have gained. Whether we choose those gifts or not will set the stage for the amount of growth which happens in each competitor. The only way to gain more is to give it away. We then clear room for more information, knowledge and growth. Ultimately, the goal is to make the inside match the outside. Strength, perseverance, fortitude and willpower are some of the beautiful attributes this sport can bring out in a competitor. I love being that competitor and growing everyday.
