Sports background: I have played softball since I was 8 years old. Some basketball in school and weight trained during high school and college. I continued to play softball in recreation leagues up until I started competing. I decided to stop playing due to conflicts with game times and my training schedule. I still enjoy it but a new door has opened and I'm ready to keep going down this road to see where it may lead.
Why NPC: It is well recognized and seems to be one of the most competitive around.
What do you like best about competing? I love the way it makes me feel inside and out. The process is not always pleasurable but the end result is well worth it. The push to make improvements and be the best I can be each season keeps me focused. To step on stage with the best and know you earned the right to be there as well is gratifying.

Favorite cheat food: Hamburger and fries or anything sweet!
Favorite diet food: Flank steak and sweet potatoes
Favorite body part to train: I used to be able to say I have a favorite part which would be shoulders, but now- I really enjoy each one. I know I have to push myself to make improvements in all areas so when I train, I focus on that part- that day - so they all need to be a favorite! I do truly enjoy working each muscle group and feeling that pump and fatigue.
Least favorite body part to train: I can't really say I have a least favorite part to train. Most people would say legs but I enjoy leg day. My workouts change up so much I never get bored or tired of doing any muscle group. Some weeks due to fatigue or just a bad day in general, any day can be a "Least Favorite"- but I try to focus and put 100% into each training session.
Hobbies: We live on the coast so anything that involves the beach or water is good to me. I love going out on the boat, and playing Bocci ball with friends and family on the beach. Both of my children play soccer so I love going to their games and cheering them on! I like to know they hear me from the sidelines- so you can say I'm fairly Loud.....
Words to live by: Never let age define you- if you set a goal then go for it- you never know what you can do until you try. Push yourself- don't pace yourself!!
