Spotlight On: Alectra Kelley
Category you compete in: Bikini, Class A
Date of birth: February 20th, 1992 (19 yrs. old)
Hometown: Anchorage, Alaska
Career: I am currently a full time pre-med student at the University of Anchorage, Alaska however, I am in the process of checking out schools in California and hoping to move to southern California next fall.
Sports background: Since I can remember my parents were putting me in anything and everything I wanted to try and eventually I began to drop certain activities leading to the discovery of my love for just about every type of dance I could get my hands on. I have mainly focused on Irish Dancing and supplemented it with Ballet. Throughout middle school and high school I participated in Volleyball, Track and Field, Equestrian riding, Gymnastics and Cheerleading.
Why NPC? In the beginning I was never really exposed to any of the other organizations within the sport so by the time I knew about them I was already madly in love with the NPC Bikini division and there was no changing my mind!
What do you like best about competing? Ever since I was a little girl competing at dance competitions or sporting events I have loved the adrenaline, thrill, and preparation of being on stage and performing in general. Besides the performance aspect of it, the preparation and dedication that goes into any of the divisions within the NPC is tremendous. Watching your body change so much in what seems like a long time, but is really so short when you think about it. It's crazy how much control we have over our bodies. It's invigorating!

Competitors you look up to: First off, Nicole Nagrani is my all around role model. She is the youngest Bikini Pro so far, she wins every competition she enters and she is pre-med just like I am! Secondly, Marzia Prince, I fell in love with her body from the moment I saw her.
Favorite cheat food: Peanut butter & Jelly sandwiches with bananas made by my dad.
Favorite diet food: Sweet potatoes all the way!
Favorite body part to train: Glutes, they have always been my strongest feature since I began competing and love watching their improvement with each workout and competition.
Least favorite body part to train: I have just recently begun doing chest workouts and I'm not going to lie at this point in time I am not a fan! However you never know maybe a new found love for working chest will come out of nowhere.
Hobbies: I love to travel. My dad is a pilot so I've been blessed with being able to travel all over the world at such a young age and I plan on continuing my travels all throughout life. I want to see the world, every little nook and cranny! Besides traveling I have recently discovered Pilates and Kickboxing and I can't seem to get enough of either.
