How does your family respond to your competing? I am blessed to have a very supportive family, we all make an effort to support each other in each other’s interests and I can honestly say I couldn’t have competed this year without my family helping me with the cost of competing and being a constant moral support.

What kind of goals have you set for yourself, short-term and long-term? This year, my short-term goal was to win an overall title, and compete in a National show. I did both! My long term goal is to sign a supplement company sponsorship, get a magazine cover, and go pro. I have a feeling 2012 will be my year.

What's currently on your iPod? I listen to a little of everything. I like to make a playlist in iTunes with the name of the show I am prepping for and fill it with upbeat dance songs, Christian worship music, Latin music, and rap. Some of my favorite artists are Newsboys, Jason Derulo, Black Eyed Peas, Kanye West, Shakira, and Becka Shae. Currently, I’m obsessed with “Love You Like a Love Song” by Selena Gomez.

What are your hobbies and interests outside of the bodybuilding world? I like to challenge myself, so I’m working towards a degree in Mechanical Engineering and tutoring as well. For fun I love to cook, blog, read, and get outside – Montana has endless opportunities to enjoy God’s great outdoors.

Do you have a favorite exercise? My favorite body parts to train are triceps and glutes - so I love tricep extensions and I hate to love single leg cable kickbacks and single leg press. They’re so effective!

IMG 8282R (2)Next competition: I just did my first national show at NPC Nationals and my next show will be to try for my Pro card again, but I haven’t picked my first show for the 2012 season yet. My coach, Shannon Dey, is helping me really improve my stage package before my next competition and she will decide when I am ready to hit the stage again. I plan on competing as early in the upcoming season as possible!

Favorite Fitness Tip: You are stronger than your mind thinks you are; get out of your head and just do it!

Who would you like to thank?

First of all – God, because He gives me true strength, willpower, comfort, and peace to truly enjoy competing. He put this passion for fitness in my heart and gave me the ability to achieve it! I also want to thank my coach, Shannon Dey and Rob Rosetti, because they saw my potential and believed in me when even when I didn’t. I can’t thank my family and all my Bombshell teammates enough for their support. It’s been such an incredible journey with them by my side. I love them so much! My brother especially inspires me to pursue my best because he is a US Marine and is dedicated to giving 100% effort-all the time. You’re awesome little brother!
