What is your favorite contest prep recipe? Grits mixed with egg whites and plain Greek yogurt it’s super yummy!
What part of your physique are you currently working on? The booty! Building a bionic backside as we speak!
Name one piece of nutrition/fitness advice that has stuck with you. Embrace fitness and nutrition as a lifestyle rather than a 12-16 week hobby.
If you could compete in one other event (FBB, physique, figure, fitness, bikini) which would it be and why? Fitness because of my competitive dance background.
Why NPC: Super competitive, but very supportive athletes & it’s the path to the IFBB!
What do you like best about competing? I love the challenge of contest prep and creating a better physique for each show. The day of the show is the easy part as long as you’ve prepared in the gym and behaved in the kitchen, you can relax and enjoy yourself on stage.
What are your goals for the future? Besides eating a cookie after Jr. USA's, I want to write a healthy cookbook and host a bodybuilding radio show...an IFBB pro card would be nice too.
Competition history:
2010 NPC Eastern USA- 3rd in Novice Figure
2011 NPC Pittsburgh- 5th in Figure D
2011 Eastern Seaboard-1st in Figure D
2011 NPC Team Universe-14th Figure E
Next competition: 2012 Jr. USA’s
Hobbies: I love watching stand up comedy. Kevin Hart, Kyle Kinane and Patton Oswalt are my faves.
What is the biggest lesson you have learned over the years when it comes to competing? Competing can definitely affect the ego; good and bad. No matter what level I am at, amateur or pro, I will always remember that no one “owes” me anything. I always make sure to reflect and learn something from each show regardless of my placing. That helps me enjoy the contest prep journey and keep a level head.
What is your favorite contest prep supplement? Fish oil and biotin. Keeps me from losing my dimples during contest prep!
