How does your family respond to your competing?
My husband, Jodie is my training partner, and we took on this lifestyle together approximately 8 years ago. We did our first show together in 2007, and both won our classes! He is an amazing husband & father & supports me 110% in & out of the gym. It was such an honor at the OPA Provincials (June 2011) to have my husband and 12 month old daughter, Paighton by my side, celebrating my 1st place victory.
My mother is also a fitness enthusiast who weight trains 5 days a week in the gym and is also an avid long distance runner. I am sure she would agree that I inspire/motivate her to be the best she can be & live such a healthy lifestyle. I have to thank her for these wonderful genetics she & my father have given me. My parents are both my biggest supporters, they have both told me many times how proud they are of me.

What kind of goals have you set for yourself, short-term and long-term?
In Sept 2011, I set out some long term goals of adding lean muscle, training hard in my off season, and stepping on the CBBF National stage for the first time. A year later I am extremely proud to say, I surpassed these goals and came out with a 1st place Win in my height class, and was also part of 3 way tie for a Pro Card in the overall.

Currently, I have set new goals for 2013 which include stepping on the IFBB Arnold Amateur stage in March 2013, as well as competing at the CBBF Nationals for the 2nd time in August 2013 hoping to achieve that Pro Card!
In 2010, my husband and I also started a training business, Precision Training & Fitness, on the side to add to our love of the Sport. I am so happy to share that business has grown above our expectations and our clientele continue to excel and meet their fitness goals.  It is our goal to continue this journey with all the incredible athletes & we are anxious to see continued success in the months and years to come.
Eventually, in the next couple of years, I would also like to expand our family & give my daughter, Paighton a little brother or sister to play with.:)

What's currently on your iPod?
I currently have a wide range of music on my iPod, including, dance, pop, APRILDUM12G-184hip-hop, R & B, Rock (old & new). Depending on my mood, I love having such a variety of songs to chose from. Some of my Fav Artists include Rhianna, Nicki Minaj, Kanye West & Pitbull

What are your hobbies and interests outside of the bodybuilding world?
In my spare time, you can usually find me spending quality time with my daughter, or hubby!! In the summer months, we enjoy playing outside or swimming at the beach. I am also looking forward to teaching my daughter how to skate this winter. I also support my nephew who plays AAA hockey and you can catch our family at most if not all of his games, cheering him on.On a rainy day, my hubby and I love watching movies at home or at the theatre spending quality time together.

Do you have a favorite exercise?
My favourite body part to train is shoulders, which is the body part most people notice first when they see me. I love presses, like dumbbell press & Arnolds, and super setting side/front raises. I love the burning feeling/pump that I get at the end of my workout!

Another one of my favs is back. Anything from pull ups, to pull downs & rows! I love lifting heavy and love performing these exercises in the gym, especially after a tough day at work!
This past year, I also started doing conditioning classes as part of my competition prep and absolutely love them! I look forward to being a part of these classes 1-2 times per week and love kettle bells, tires, Trx, & the prowler!

Favorite Fitness Tip:
"Of course its hard, if it was easy everyone would do it, it's the hard that makes it great"

Who would you like to thank?
I would like to thank my husband, and training partner, Jodie for being so supportive of my goals for the past 8 years! He has been by my side through-out this incredible journey; he encourages & motivates me any way he can. He is with me at my worst & at my best!! Cannot thank him enough! xo

Also, thank-you to my good friend & coach, IFBB Pro Kim Tilden-McPhail. She is an amazing person inside & out and an inspiration to so many in the fitness world. Her guidance and direction for the last year has been incredible. Also, my friends and family for always believing in me & helping me along the way. Special thank-you to local supplement store owner, Mike Guizzo at In Motion Nutrition, for being a great friend & providing the best quality supplements. Everyone’s support never goes unnoticed & is always appreciated!!
