Date of birth: March 24, 1991

What is your favorite childhood memory?
Growing up, my younger brother and I were fortunate to grow up on a neighborhood with lots of kids our age. We constantly were outside playing shadow tag, baseball, kickball, having snowball fights or making forts!

Name a song that motivates you.
Just about any rock/alternative song. My favorite Pandora station is “Hard Rock Strength Training”

What is your biggest gym pet peeve?
When someone sits on a weight bench you may need forever talking on the phone!

How do you like to reward yourself?
I like to reward myself by burger cheat meals with my coaches and teammates of HD Training.

If you could change one things about the world what would it be?
I would love to see more active individuals in the world and more of a decrease in obesity.

What do you do right before you step onstage?
Right before I step on stage I think about the journey I took to get there. I look back at all the great memories and the struggles that I overcome. Thinking about how all my hard work is coming down to that very moment and that brings the biggest smile to my face to show the entire crowd and judges!

Nook, Book or Kindle?
I am honestly not a big reader. Currently I’ve been studying for my nutrition and personal training certifications so those have been occupying all of my reading time. But when I do get down time I enjoy reading fitness and bodybuilding magazines.

Competition history:
Oregon State Championships: July 7, 2012  1st Place Figure Class C
Seven Feathers Classic: October 20, 2012  1st Place Figure Class C  Overall Figure Champion

Next competition:
In 2013 I plan on stepping onto my first national show along with a couple bigger NW shows. My next competition will be in March in Sacramento, CA for the Governors Cup. This will lead to Emerald Cup in Washington in May with Junior Nationals in Chicago the following weekend. Next year’s USA’s is another stop on my list.

If someone followed you for the day what would they beDSC07566 most surprised about?
They would be surprised with how busy my schedule is and much I drive throughout my day. I train 3 days a week with my coach Dan Simpson, HD Training. I do my morning cardio at my gym in Wilsonville, OR then drive 45 minutes, give or take traffic, to iPhysique Gym in Hillsboro, OR to train before working my full time job in Tualatin, OR. After work I then go back to the gym at home to finish the rest of my cardio for the day. When I finally get home I prepare my meals for the next day. Busy schedule and yes, lots of driving, but I wouldn’t change a thing! It’s all worth it!

What is your preferred tanning product and why?
North West Competitive Color offers Jan Tana for skin prep and spray tan. This is my favorite product because I always get the darkest most even stage ready tan.

Favorite Quote
“I’m not telling you it is going to be easy, I’m telling you it’s going to be worth it.”

Who would you like to thank?
None of my successes would have been possible without the help and support from my coach Dan Simpson from HD Training. I would also like to thank my nutritionist Hannah Ringholm out of HD Training and head coach to Team iPhysique, IFBB Pro Kristi Tauti. I could not go without thanking my amazing family. My father Robon Evans, mother Nola Evans, and my younger brother David Evans who will be competing alongside me for his first179216 438120099545971 655205267 n shows in junior bodybuilding this upcoming year.
