How does your family respond to your competing?
I was actually surprised at how supportive my family has been. My parents are mormon and I assumed they would look down on the sport because of the size of the competition suits... lol... but oddly enough they were amazingly supportive and saw that it was more about the passion that I had for the sport. When my mom saw how my body changed she was inspired to change her own way of living, she lost about 20 lbs and looks amazing. She has been my #1 fan and has supported me every step of the way.
What kind of goals have you set for yourself, short-term and long-term?
My short term goal has been to build the best body possible so I can earn my pro card this year at Jr. Nationals. Long term goal is to get my Master’s Degree in Dietetics and Exercise Physiology and start working in the fitness industry and of course compete at the Olympia and the Arnold.
What's currently on your iPod?
I love this question! My current playlist consists of Eye of the Tiger (which is on almost every gym playlist I’ve made), Separate Ways by Journey, The Way You Like It by Adema, Cover Girl by RuPaul, Vogue by Madonna and I pretty much love anything by Disturbed… music is definitely one of my greatest motivators!
What are your hobbies and interests outside of the bodybuilding world?
Since I was a kid I have loved dancing. I used to choreograph dances as a little girl. I continue to love dancing as an adult, again music is one of those things that can just move you, physically, emotionally and spiritually and dancing is another way to express that.
Do you have a favorite exercise?
Squats, deadlifts and pull-ups are all my favorites because when I first started this journey I wasn’t very good at them and I’ve had to work my butt off to perfect my form or even be able to do them… the challenge has made me appreciate them more.

Who would you like to thank?
I first want to thank my friends and family… the ones that are still around that is, especially after the final week of contest prep (each season I usuallly end up yelling at a loved one on that final week of prep. Just know I love you all very much.. lol). I want to thank my coach Eric Eaglin. He has helped me bring the best package to the stage the last couple of seasons and he always knows exactly what to say, what foods to have me eat… or not eat for that matter. A very big thank you to the awesome Tanji Johnson, I originally learned to pose from one of her DVD’s and then had the pleasure of working with her last season. Finallly thanks to Team Dream Quest, this team has so much energy and support, it has been a great experience working with them.
