In your opinion, how important is motivation and confidence when aiming to accomplish a goal?
Motivation and confidence are key to achieving any goal. Without motivation there is no drive and without confidence there is only doubt. To accomplish any goal there must be a driving force found within ourselves and to be successful leave no room for doubt. See it, visualize it, have faith and believe it is real.
In your eyes, what combination of hard work and natural ability is needed to reach the top?
Hard work no matter what someone’s goal or dream may be is a must, anyone can try but only the ones who have put in the time and work will excel. Determination and a positive mind set is what helps driveus to success. Now that being said, natural ability is a gift, when someone possesses a natural ability then whatever it is they are doing is like second nature, natural if you will and not forced. For example in posing for body builders and figure competitors if movements appear forced and unnatural it has a huge impact on stage presence and appears to lack confidence.
What are some motivational strategies that have or currently work for you?
Motivation for me is my own desire to improve myself, emotionally, mentally, and physically. I love pushing myself to the limits. I have been blessed to inspire many others to want to do the same. I pull strength from helping others achieve their fitness goals as well.
Give me some examples from your life where confidence has helped you to achieve?
I train myself, I write my own diets, and I work on my own posing. I have to be completely confident in what I do there can be no room for me to ever doubt myself. Having the confidence in myself, believing in myself and always staying on my path has gotten me to where I am today… IFBB Pro
What do you find the most challenging about competing?
I’m going to be honest, there is nothing easy about competing it’s a constant roller coaster. Diets must always change, training must constantly change, and as the body changes so must posing.
What are your top 5 key strategies for success?
1) Believe and have faith
2) Work hard then work even harder
3) Stay humble
4) Be an inspiration to others
5) Never get removed from your path… stay on track
What is your favorite protein powder? Why do you like it?

Throw your heart over the bar… – Norman Vincent Peale
“Throw your heart over the bar and your body will follow.
Throw your faith over your difficulty.
Throw your affirmation over every barrier.
Throw your visualization over your obstacles.
Throw the spiritual essence of you over the bar and your material self will follow in the victory groove thus pioneered by your faith-inspired mind.”
