In your opinion, how important is motivation and confidence when aiming to accomplish a goal?
Motivation and SELF confidence is extremely important when aiming to accomplish a goal you have set for yourself! It is what drives you! It is what will keep you going even when you feel like all odds are against you! But it’s your motivation, passion & ambition that will keep pushing you even when you feel like giving up. You have to be confident in your body and know that you have done your absolute BEST to look your very BEST! Once you have built that motivation and self-confidence in yourself, nothing can stop you!
In your eyes, what combination of hard work and natural ability is needed to reach the top?
One thing you must have is FAITH! Faith in yourself and in your abilities to accomplish what is in your heart! Not everyone will reach the top but if you bust your ass and become a better competitor upon yourself then you have already reached the top. Always strive for progress. You are your own competition.. Hard work, dedication, and consistency & never giving up will get you far whether you reach the top or not..
What are some motivational strategies that have or currently work for you?
I use myself as my own motivation. I look into the mirror and see and visualize the physique I’m striving for! Seeing progress daily is motivation for me in itself.
Give me some examples from your life where confidence has helped you to achieve?
Confidence in myself and my physique has helped me feel comfortable on stage with my presentation. Having confidence is appealing to others and it attracts people to you which in turn can open up doors of opportunity.
What do you find the most challenging about competing?
I love competing because it’s my outlet to life. The challenging part for me is now having a full time job and making the time to get in my training and cardio waking up at 3am, while working 12+ hours a day already exhausted. Also at times its challenging to see my family eat such yummy food while I’m eating my diet food, BUT it doesn’t phase me much because I’m on a mission and I’m determined to succeed and get to where I want to be.
What are your top 5 key strategies for success?
- Have faith
- Be positive
- Never give up
- Always strive for progress
- Give it 100%
What is your favorite protein powder? Why do you like it?
