5Category you compete in:
Middleweight Bodybuilding, and also I plan to compete in the new physique class next year!

Date of birth:
April 19th, 1980

Hometown:
The Hawaiian island of Kauai is where I call home but I currently reside in the amazing state of Colorado! I love the Rocky Mountains and am blessed to be surrounded by such beauty everyday!

Career:
I absolutely love my work as a personal trainer! I find it so rewarding to give back and help people find their strongest and healthiest self, as I know finding strength of body brings strength of mind as well! I adore my clients, if they only knew how they inspire me!!

2Sports background:
Growing up I was always active and playing sports. Most recently I competed in Olympic weightlifting before crossing over to bodybuilding, and it provided me with a strong base of not only solid muscle but discipline as well. Thanks to my Coach Paul Fleschler and training partner Jessie Humeston for that!

Why NPC:
I have been passionate for years about lifting weights and training for the highest level of fitness and health! My sister Abi Dawn and I were training partners for years always pushing each other to the max, until distance made that impossible but we still always dreamed of the stage. I continued to train and one day NPC competitor Luis Santa approached me in the gym and told me I’d be great at bodybuilding and told me about the NPC shows coming up. Luis and his wife Yolanda as well as my current corner man Derek Trombetta have offered great guidance, support and friendship to me on this journey.

What do you like best about competing?
I love so many things about competing in this sport. I love the the standard it holds me to, and the way it keeps me focused and committed to excellence! I love how although you may be going through the toughest time of your life and feel like you have nothing left, you still can go to a gym and train, and if you let it, somehow it finds a way to push you to a strength you never knew you had. I love the thrill of seeing your body change each week, and the challenge of training so hard while maintaining a strict clean diet. For me Bodybuilding has taught me dedication, devotion, patience, perseverance, and
commitment! I never knew how much it would take day in and day out to reach so high and demand so much of myself. I have so much respect for this sport! I am thankful for the strength I gain from God’s presence in my life and the support group of Derek Trombetta, my best friend Candice, my sisters Abi and Laura, the Silva family, and a few close friends. I do not take for granted the part they play.
