Spotlight On: Rebecca Staggs
Category you compete in: Bikini
Date of birth: 09/27/1980
Hometown: Kalamazoo, MI
Career: Owner of Staggs Fitness, personal trainer.
Sports Background: I ran track (sprints) and cheered in high school.
Why NPC: I choose to compete in the NPC for a number of reasons. There are more shows to pick from, it's well known, and I have many friends that compete in it. It's fun to do shows with friends - and the possibilities seem limitless.
What do you like best about competing? I enjoy the whole process, but most of all I like being backstage, and the thrill of competition and going up against other people after working hard to get there. I also like the control I have over myself and my choices, its one thing in life only I can affect the outcome of. The best thing to have come from competition life for me is all the friends I have made because of it. There are lots of great girls out there with common interests that I may not have ever known had it not been for online communities or doing shows. Some of them are very near and dear to my heart now!

Favorite cheat food: Nachos!! WITH EVERYTHING!!
Favorite diet food: Egg whites with stir fry vegetables, brown rice and soy sauce.
Favorite body part to train: Definitely my legs/glutes. They have come a long way, and still have a way to go. I enjoy working them and am frequently reminded of how strong I really am.
Least favorite body part to train: Bis and Tris...boring...
Hobbies: I like to read books and hang out around the house in my spare time. I'm a total homebody. During nicer weather my husband and I go fishing and I read and catch some rays while he catches dinner.
