Spotlight On: Michelle Beck

Category you compete in: NPC Figure
JMP_3127

Date of birth: December 23, 1980

Hometown: Fort Worth, TX

Career: Buyer at an Aeronautics Company

Sports background: I don't have a sports background, well I guess what most people would consider as sports. I was in dance all of my life and on the high school Drill Team and I was also a competitive figure skater for many years. It wasn't until after I graduated High School that I started Tae Kwon Do, started working at the front desk of a gym and picked up a weight for the first time in my life. There is no better feeling than to challenge yourself, lift heavy and feel strong.

Why NPC: I chose the NPC, because becoming an IFBB Figure Pro is a goal that I have had since 2002 and I want to reach it. I think the NPC/IFBB provides wonderful opportunities and exposure for their athletes that no one else can provide.

What do you like best about competing? The thing I like best about competing is stepping on stage, feeling proud that I have created the best physique possible for that day and knowing that all of the months of hard work inside and out of the gym has been worth this one moment, that is my moment.
