How does your family respond to your competing? I am a very lucky girl! My husband has been awesome throughout this whole experience. He prepares my meals when I am unable to do so. Additionally, he picked up more house chores and helps more with the girls so I have more time and energy to train. My daughters love the concept of their mom being a bikini competitor. They refer to me as “their champion mom”. My daughters are very proud of me. Whether I place 1st or last, I can always come home to a drawing of a trophy!
What kind of goals have you set for yourself, short-term and long-term? My short-term goal is to learn more about this sport, improve my physique, learn how to manage my nutrition and eventually acquire my personal training certification. In the long-term, I want to finish college, and of course earn that “pro-card”.
What's currently on your iPod? Mostly R&B, some rock, rap, and a little reggae.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of the bodybuilding world?
I love to travel. I enjoy learning about different cultures. I enjoy running races. I enjoy cooking. I enjoy girls’ night at my house with my daughters doing hair, nails and watching movies. I enjoy working out with my husband.
Do you have a favorite exercise?
Deep squats. I hate doing them, but love it when I am finished.

Next competition:
I can’t say when I am competing next. I’m a military spouse and we are moving next year to Guam. However, I’m sure I will be competing next year.
Favorite Fitness Tip:
Never quit. Pushing yourself builds character, and that’s when the real change happens.
Who would you like to thank?
My family for their support. Special thanks to my wonderful coaches, Shawn and Cinzia Clapp, for all they do for me. And my team, 907 Muscle Girls, for always being there for the ups-and-downs.
