In your opinion, how important is motivation and confidence when aiming to accomplish a goal? Motivation and confidence are top on my list when setting out for any goal. Having great motivation and a positive support network gives me the drive to push myself to the limits and to be the best I can be. Confidence plays an important role to the outcome of my performance. Believing and achieving ~ you can do anything you put your mind to! It comes down to having the right attitude!!!

In your eyes, what combination of hard work and natural ability is needed to reach the top? In the end hard work always pays off! You have to push yourself to the top of your game when reaching any goal. Stepping out of my comfort zone is so important when training especially when I’m always striving to make those positive gains to be the best. In combination with having a great focus and always giving 100% at anything I do keeps me on my toes and always reaching for top success.

What are some motivational strategies that have or currently work for you? Keeping motivated comes easy for me as I have always been a competitive athlete from an early age. Motivational strategies that work for me are:

Striving for that high level of achievement
Being Goal orientated
Being self confident
CompetenceDSC 5093Optimism
Positive expectancies
Constructive criticism to reach perfection
Competitiveness

Give me some examples from your life where confidence has helped you to achieve? Being a competitive gymnast and martial artist at a young age gave me the confidence I needed to achieve anything I put my mind to. I always had great leadership, from coaches, parents, and wonderful mentors in my life that showed me the ropes on how to keep that right attitude! Always having a goal in mind also gave me confidence and focus to push to be the best.

What do you find the most challenging about competing?
I believe the challenges are what keep me pushing and wanting more as a professional athlete. Nothing comes easy in life, that what keeps me going and always wanted to reach that next step!

What are your top 5 key strategies for success? Attitude, focus, determination, setting goals, having a passion

What is your favorite protein powder? Why do you like it?  To be honest I’m not a big fan of protein shakes, I will have them, but I much rather get a meal in over a protein shake.  Lately I’ve come to like the taste of eating my protein powder over mixing it in water, which doesn’t sound too great, but I really like it!!  Optimum Nutrition's triple chocolate is pretty good and I also like Gaspari's Myofusion. Whatever works to get my protein in!!!

In closing, Who would you like to give a shout out to? Big shout out to my family and friends and to all my clients and fans for their unconditional support and words of encouragement every step of the way. To my Coach - Tad Inoue for his guidance in helping me reach my dreams.
