If you could change into a superhero for a day who would you be and why? I already am a superhero :) ... if you ask my kids and any of their friends.

What made you begin dedicating your lifestyle to this sport? I made a bet with my husband that I could do it. He said I wouldn’t last through the diet. He was almost right, but he forgot that I am hard-headed. So many people told me that I shouldn’t do it ... so I did x 3 and I will continue as long as I am able.

What approach do you take to dieting...carb cycle..keto?
I do what I am told pretty much. As long as it’s on my list I eat it. My husband and my dietician work pretty close with me to ensure the things I eat are things I enjoy eating ... so dieting doesn’t become such a chore....It’s staying away from the brownies lol. I am very well with it until we get towards the last few weeks where my carbs become a mirage but that is how I know I am nearing the end and all things pay off.

What do you think is the biggest misconception people have about competing?
All you can eat is plain chicken and you have to train for 8 hours a day. These are the two things I get all the time. Oh and that woman look like their stage presence year round. I don’t, I have a soft side and I think it’s rather appealing.

What is your most embarassing childhood memory?
We were very poor so just about anything with people looking at me was. I became a background, no one knew that I was in the room and that’s how I liked it. The worst was when everyone found out my mom was on drugs and CPS took us out of our home.

What is the biggesJaye 5577 ppt lesson you have learned about YOURSELF during your contest prep? I am tougher than I think I am. I can do what I want to do as long as I want it bad enough. I can taste food if I think about it hard enough lol.... I may have a bit of a problem. Time for an intervention  I think.

Who do you look up and admire and why? I have two. My aunts Belinda and Shamaela. When I was young and moved to Texas to live with my Aunt B everyone back home told me I thought I was too good like I was better than everyone else. Both my aunts told me I am better than everyone else and I am too good. That was the first time anyone made me feel good about being me. They taught me to be strong and that it is okay to be proud and have success. They taught me you don’t have to struggle all the time to have a story, but if you don’t end it the way you want to. I admire them because they are proud women and they are the only family that never turned their backs on me. They are also funny and no one can tell them anything lol.

Competition history:
Heart of Texas 2010 : Couples BB (we won) & Figure (think I got 5 out of 6 or 4 out of 5) <----- I cried HARD! Then I had lemon cake and was fine
West Texas Classic: 2011 LW BB 1st
Ronnie Coleman Classic: 2011 LW BB 1st
Next competition: 2012 USAs!!!!!! MW BB

Favorite Motivational Quote: “Shutup and Train” -My husband Christopher Taylor

Who would you like to thank? I would like to thank; My husband for making the bet with me and walking on that stage with me for the first time, for training me and hugging when I cried over lost cheezits and salsa... and for giving me the lemon cake. My children for keeping me on my toes and keeping a smile on my face when the going gets tough and for posing with me :) .

Mike Holque of Wild Salsa in Dallas and Garret and Kattie Goss of Ultimate Sports Nutrition in Lewisville for having faith in me and giving me my first sponsorships.
