How has your life changed since you adopted this lifestyle and started competing?
Although I’m still fairly new to this lifestyle and haven’t been competing for long, it’s definitely changed my life, from learning proper techniques in the gym, to understanding the importance of a good nutritional plan and everything in between.  I’ve found that you are stronger, not only physically, but mentally, than you ever thought possible.  I’m still learning new things each and every day.  The sky is the limit!

What have imageyou found to be the best way to balance family, friends, career, this lifestyle, etc…
Nothing to it but to do it!  It’s not always an easy endeavor, but you fall into a routine eventually.  I think the hardest part to balance is friends and family.  However, I have been blessed with people in my life that understand the lifestyle and support me and my goals 100%.  I will never forget the look on my friends faces the first time I met them out for dinner and whipped out my Tupperware container in the middle of the restaurant!  It was priceless!

If you could change places with one competitor for the day who would it be and why?
If I could change places with one competitor for the day it’d have be Dana Linn Bailey.  Why??  Because she’s freakin awesome!  Not only does she have an incredible physique, but has a personality to match.

Name two of the most inspirational people in your life and tell why they inspire you.
The two most inspirational people in my life are my mom and IFBB Pro Tammy Patnode.  My mom inspires me because, well, she’s my mom!  She is an amazing woman and I have learned a great deal from her. She is one of the most loving and patient people I know. IFBB Pro Tammy Patnode inspires me every day because of her knowledge, experience, and dedication to this lifestyle.

Tell one recipe or supplement you can’t live without.
I cannot live without SPECIES ISOLYZE PROTEIN……chocolate peanut butter of course!  I was never much of a breakfast eater until taking the plunge into this lifestyle.  Now I can’t start my day without it!  One of my favorite protein shake recipes is:
-1 scoop chocolate peanut butter SPECIES ISOLYZE
-1 cup Almond milk
-1 tbsp Almond butter
-1 banana
Mix all ingredients in a blender and enjoy!

Tell about a typical training day for you.  What exercises, how many sets/reps…etc…
A typical training day for me is as follows:downloadLEGS
Lying Leg Curls – 4 sets/10 reps with a triple drop set on last set and 10 partials.  (So, 10 reps, drop some weight, 10 reps, drop more weight, 10 reps, then pump 10 partials out from the bottom.)
Squats- 4 sets/8 reps with ascending set on last set. (Instead of a drop set I add weight during the set.  The last set should be 8 reps…add weight…3 reps…add weight…3 reps….add weight…3 reps)
Leg Press- 4 sets/15 reps SUPERSETTED with Leg Extensions- 4 sets/15 reps
Stiff Leg Dead Lift- 3 sets/15 reps

In closing, Who would you like to give a shout out to?
I’d like to give a shout out to my trainer, and friend, IFBB Pro Tammy Patnode…..Hey girl!!!!  Without her I know I wouldn’t be where I am today.  She has always been there for me whether it has to do with a new workout/nutrition plan or just someone to wine to when all I can think about is a big fat juicy burger and fries!  For that I’m eternally grateful…..Love ya lady!
