How has your life changed since you adopted this lifestyle and started competing? My life has changed in so many amazing ways! Upon my decision to compete and become part of Michelle Johnson’s Team, Team Knockouts, I have become part of a new wonderful family! I feel more alive than I have felt in years! My mind is clear, my body is strong, and I feel better than I have ever felt in my life! I love that I am an inspiration to so many others! My goal is to be a positive influence to anyone whose life I am able to touch!
What have you found to be the best way to balance family, friends, career, this lifestyle, etc… I have found the best way to balance my life is simply through sharing my hopes, dreams, and goals with my friends and family. Having a strong support team and supportive people around you at all times who understand what you aspire to achieve makes all the difference! Being well organized and having great time management skills is a must in everyday life, especially now that I am training and competing!
If you could change places with one competitor for the day who would it be and why? I would love to change places for a day with Nathalia Melo! To experience her lifestyle and workout regimen would be amazing! She exuberates such passion for everything about her life that it is contagious!
Name two of the most inspirational people in your life and tell why they inspire you. The two most inspirational people in my life would have to be my husband, David Hollander and my Pastor, Mark Wilkenson! My husband inspires me everyday through his drive and determination! He has a nothing is impossible attitude towards life and he has the most genuine, kind heart of any man I know! I’m so blessed to share my life with such an amazing man! Mark Wilkenson, is a true inspiration to me both as my Pastor and friend! Most recently, Mark has been dealing with several life threatening illnesses. Seeing how Mark remained strong both as a person and in faith has been a true inspiration to me.
Tell one recipe or supplement you can’t live without. As simple as it may sound, I can’t live without WATER!! I have come to truly believe and understand the importance of it and the MANY benefits that it has for the body!
Tell about a typical training day for you. What exercises, how many sets/reps…etc… The typical training day for me starts out with morning cardio, 35-45 minutes. My workout depends on where I am at in my training prep for my competition! Sets can be anywhere from 2-4 with varying reps of 8-15.
In closing, Who would you like to give a shout out to? In closing, I would like to give a shout out to my coach, Michelle Johnson! It is amazing being part of the Team Knockout family! Since becoming part of the team, I have made some great friendships that will last a lifetime! I can’t thank Michelle enough for her coaching and guidance! I am very thankful that I have her by my side as I make this amazing journey!
