What do you feel is the WORST part of contest prep? Cutting carbs and raised cardio I would have to say… Although, winners don't complain, they train! No matter what, envision the prize and keep on pushing to bring your personal best package to the stage!

Would you please tell us a little about your workout schedule? I perform moderate cardio sessions 5 days and incorporate weight training 4 days a week.

If you had to lose one of your 5 senses, which one would you prefer to lose and why? From a dieting aspect, I would choose smell! It can be a real tease on foods that we love, but can't have! Oh, and I wouldn't be aware of certain odors in the gym! ;)

DSC 5298If you could change one things about this sport what would it be? I would have the class sizes limited. So many competitors train and diet so hard and sacrifice so much for their moment to shine, that I feel in a huge class, many get overlooked.

If you had a time capsule what would you put inside it and why? It would be my body. If I could turn back time, I wouldn't have stopped being active after high school. I began to find it harder to maintain a great figure without a regular schedule of cardio and weight training.

What is your favorite vacation spot? The beach has a beautiful all around atmosphere. It is so relaxing and you can forget about life and be lazy for a while! Not to mention, show off that body we work so hard for! ;)

What advice do you have for women who would like to get involved in and compete in the sport of bodybuilding? Take risks, just do it! Unlock your physical and mental potential! I have learned that the human body and mind are an amazing thing! What started out as a personal decision to lose weight, I set a short-term goal to do my first show with my sister Angela Coleman… Not only did I lose the weight, I won my class. I cannot describe the rush I got from this experience. This journey truly has shaped my life, decisions and my physique for the best… and it continues!

What is a day-in-the-life of Leah Dattilo like? During the week starting at 4 am… I train, eat, work, train, cook, eat, sleep… then repeat! Of course on the weekends, make time for friends and family ;) Fitness is a lifestyle! Make it a habit, but find a good balance between all!

Favorite Motivational Quote: "Obsession is what a lazy person calls dedication" Take the all negative comments and people… turn them into fuel for your fire (your goal!) No excuses! If you put your eye on the prize and you want it bad enough, everything will fall into place. If you love what you do, it is not a job!

DSC 6655 SGLFLGFDWBIn closing, Who would you like to give a shout out to? A BIG thank you to Rx Muscle for featuring me in the spotlight! ;) I can't thank my sister Angela Coleman and her husband Justin Coleman enough for all of their kindness, support and encouragement through my divorce and 1st competition all in the same year. My coach Kit Kitson for all of his promotion, help, guidance and putting up with a few of my dieting meltdowns! I have learned to keep faith and trust in the dieting process. Stay positive and give it your daily best! Team In-Shape Nutrition athletes for all their love! Ballas Dental Care for supporting my competition process! All of my family and friends in and outside of the gym!! S2 for the opportunities to promote my fitness lifestyle.
