1. Know how much you will be paid before you shoot.
If you are doing a paid shoot, make sure you have agreed on how much you will be paid, and how you will be paid (e.g. cash, PayPal or check) before you shoot. DO NOT pay photographers to shoot you unless they are highly recognized in the field of fitness modeling and you love their work! Many photographers will say that they can get you published but no one can guarantee it. There are enough talented photographers out there that will shoot on trade or pay you to shoot for their own website.
