The Importance of Functional Exercises
Those exercises that you can do at home, the ones with the bands that sometimes look silly… Those exercises that are on the generic sheet that the physical therapist gave you… Those exercises that seem easy and boring sometimes… THOSE are the exercises that allow you to be strong enough to perform the exercises that you truly love to do. The “silly” exercises that the therapist (if you have ever been to a physical therapist) are the very foundation to your bodybuilding training. Dieting (adjective): a period of time where one deprives themselves of delicious and satisfying foods in order to obtain the ideal physique or weight. Right? WRONG!
So many times people have approached me with questions about how I stay satisfied pre contest and when I diet, which for me, is year round. As I write for RX Girl, you will notice I have to diet harder, longer and more restrictive then most because of my hypothyroid problem
Product Review: SAN's Platinum Isolate Supreme
Trying to find a great protein powder may be really confusing and costly. For one, all the labels claim to be the most pure, fastest acting, best tasting, well you see where I am getting at. My favorite protein powder of choice is San Nutrition's Platinum Isolate Supreme in Creme Brûlée flavor. Aside from it being a superb quality protein complete with 1.4 grams of glutamine and over 7 grams of BCAA's per serving, this protein is lactose/sugar/fat free. I can use this right up to show date during contest preparation! Also, the really low sodium content is a plus too!
