Cannuck's Corner-Installment #4
Hi Everyone!
I hope you had an absolutely wonderful holiday and are now back into the swing of things and ready to take on 2012! The past year has been extremely busy, very exciting, and from a fitness point of view I am really looking forward to what lies ahead. My coach Tad Inoue and I had our first call of the year yesterday, and we decided that my first show of 2012 will be the Europa Show of Champions in Orlando, FL on April 27-28!
Raechelle Chase Back On Track: Your Best Year Yet
How can you get on track and stay on track with your training and make this your best year yet? Raechelle Chase tells us how…
I love the New Year… it’s the holiday season and the season of new beginnings.
There is much to love. The long summer days hanging out with family and friends, the barbecues, the beach fun. But what I love most about this time of year, in terms of my training and life in general, is using the New Year as an opportunity to refocus. That is the beauty of a new year ahead – no matter what happened last year, the slate is wiped clean and 2012 marks a new year, a new raft of possibility.
However, the holiday season can also be a challenging time for training. The temptation is always there when we take a break – the temptation to over-indulge, as well as lose focus. So how can we stay on track to make sure we start the New Year off well?
Candyce Graham Stay Hungry for The Arnold Stage: The Fire Inside
Oh what a journey it has been!! Olympia and now Bikini International!! I’m beyond excited and blessed to be one of the beautiful women invited to compete at the Arnold Sport Festival. It was like yesterday I dreamed of walking across the infamous Arnold stage and in 8 weeks I will get the opportunity to do so. Wow!
The crazy thing is that I had no idea I was invited until I received numerous text messages from friends, while at work, saying congratulations.I remember thinking to myself, what the heck did I do!?! Did I win the lottery? LOL! Little did I know, I had won the Arnold lottery:)!!!
Lexi Kaufman's Journey To Her Pro Debut....The Arnold-Journal 1
Hello, My name is Lexi Kaufman and I am a 20-year-old Bikini competitor. I have now been competing for a little over a year and was fortunate enough to earn my Pro Card at the NPC North Americans in Cleveland, Ohio in September of this year. I have been blessed to go pro within one year of beginning my career. This past year has been such a whirlwind with all the traveling and competitions. I have met so many people and have became a fan of so many competitors as well.
The Return of Zoa Linsey: Heading To The Arnold: 9 Week Out
9 weeks & 2 days pre-show! Putting into words what being invited to the Ms. International 2012 means to me this year is nearly impossible. After my sudden neck herniation I suffered 2 days before the Ms. Olympia 2010, then the resultant neck fusion surgery 2 weeks later and the long-term recovery process, I had no guarantees that I would ever return to the stage. I hunted high and low for other athletes with a similar situation and found virtually nothing!
Danielle Destroys The Road To The Arnold: Blog 1
Last year I watched the IFBB Fitness girls compete at the Arnold Classic. I was on the edge of my seat in awe. More than anything I wanted to be up there with them! I made a promise to myself that I was going to make it there…one day
Little did I know it was going to be the very next year! I worked so hard this past year. I tried for my pro card at the CBBF National Championships and just missed placing 2nd in the Overall. I wasn’t going to miss it again. I continued to work my butt of and won my pro card at the IFBB North Americans.
Candice Keene Back In Prep..........
Hey guys!
Well, I am about two weeks into my prep now and am feeling quite fantastic actually! The week before I started, I mentally prepped myself so the first week wouldn’t be so bad. For me, it usually takes me a good week to two weeks to get back in routine and for my cravings to go away. I also have found myself to be in really good spirits since Day 1 of my prep, so this I believe, will determine how my final outcome will be. Have a positive attitude people! As this produces positive results.:)
Trina Travels In A New Direction: RESOLUTION EVOLUTION
The New Year is quickly creeping up on us. Do you have a New Year’s Resolution? Well, if you’re like most Americans you have at least one resolution. And, if you are like the majority of these promise-makers, your resolution is probably related to health and fitness.
While resolutions are well-intentioned, unfortunately most people fail at keeping them. With all the hype surrounding these promises, it’s easy to get caught up in the hype without really taking them seriously.
