From Sad and Sick to Confident and Proud – A Fitness Transformation!
I think you can probably find some version of my story being played out in every high school across the country. A young girl trying to fit in, trying to find a place she belongs. I think back to the song by Martina McBride, “high school can be so rough, can be so mean.” She hit the nail on the head with that one. Every high school girl wants to fit in, to have lots of friends, get invited to all the parties, and to be liked by the popular group. When they are not, for whatever reason, they are faced with a lot of heartache.
Blast the Fat Like the Cast of the Movie 300
Do you ever wonder how actors and actresses get their chiseled bodies so fast? I have the workout that the actors from the movie 300 did. Those gladiators in the movie really impressed me. I did some research, and I found the workout they did every week, sometimes twice a week. I do this workout once a week in the off season for my cardio day. I do it twice a week when I get closer to a show.
Play Your Cards Right and Get in A Great Workout!
Do you ever have a day where you just can't get to the gym? Maybe you’re traveling or on vacation and you really want to burn a ton of calories. I have a workout that all you will need is a deck of playing cards. You can do a total body workout in 30-45 minutes, and it's different every time you play. Each card is a different exercise, so make sure you shuffle the deck really good. I do this workout on a timer so I go as fast as I can. I usually use exercises that target large muscle groups or exercises that do not require any equipment. Each card designates an exercise and the number of repetitions. Here are a few different ways to play this game.
